BEE VECTORING TECHNOLOGY
The Protectabee Inspenser is brand new technology developed and tested by Best for Bees for delivery of bee health improvement powders directly into honey bee hives. Currently in the Research and Development phase in a collaborative project with Peter Kevan's lab at the University of Guelph, MITACS, and The Weston Foundation.
COLONY HEALTH ANALYSIS
Assessment of honeybee colony health in Apivectoring project at Strom's Farm in Guelph, Ontario. We collected samples to analyze larval mortality, photograph analysis of total population of colonies, and data collection on multiple hives to assess colony health for a joint project with the University of Guelph. APIVECTORING FOR CROP PROTECTION
Best for Bees provided assistance for grant applications, apiculture techniques, crop analysis, and microbiological preps in a joint project with the University of Guelph and Weston Foundation.
MEMORY IN BUMBLEBEES
Bumblebees were trained to use touchscreens in order to study memory at the University of Guelph. Apiculture, data collection and analysis, and publication services were provided to the University of Guelph by Best for Bees.
